NASA's PUNCH satellite has successfully captured its first observation images, aiming to track the flow of solar winds from the Sun in three dimensions. This mission could help understand the Sun's impact on Earth, including satellite malfunctions and GPS errors. PUNCH uses polarization to analyze high-energy particles (solar winds) emitted by the Sun and how they form the heliosphere. This effort will remove interference from starlight and zodiacal light to visualize the solar wind accurately.
