Park Ju-sung, a promising young baritone, has taken 20 different roles this season at the Vienna State Opera (Wiener Staatsoper), where he was named a 'young artist' in 2021. Scheduled for a recital on the 23rd, he will perform pieces by Mahler, Handel, and more. Selected as a resident musician at Mapo Cultural Foundation, he will have three major performances in Korea this year. Starting his vocal training in high school, Park found his break during the COVID-19 pandemic, when an audition video led to his selection at the Vienna State Opera. Despite not standing out initially, his unique charm remains memorable and has driven his career forward. He continues to strive for growth, aspiring to take on challenging roles like those in Mozart's Da Ponte trilogy and Richard Strauss's operas.
