Coldplay frontman Chris Martin jokingly mentioned political situations in Korea during their concert, noting that each time the band visits, Korea seems to be without a president. This remark follows their 2017 visit when President Park Geun-hye was impeached, and now their 2023 visit coincides with President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment. With their famous song 'Viva la Vida', about the fall of a king, Coldplay humorously earns the nickname 'impeachment band'. In the concert, Martin also jokingly suggested their drummer Will Champion as Korea's president. Their concert is the largest-scale performance in Korea, drawing 30,000 local fans over six shows.
