During their recent concert in South Korea, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked about the country's political situation, noting that there is no president every time the band visits. The band first came to Korea in 2017, shortly after President Park Geun-hye was impeached. This year, they performed again amidst the vacancy following President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment. With their song 'Viva la Vida' famously about the fall of a king, Coldplay humorously earned the nickname "impeachment band." With 6 shows attended by 30,000 each, it marks the largest foreign performance in Korea.
