The '2025 Jeju Horse Pasture Culture Festival,' a reinterpretation of the thousand-year-old 'Ip-mok' tradition, opened in Jeju, South Korea. Ip-mok is a unique traditional ceremony where horses that were sheltered during winter are released into wide pastures in spring. The event, held with the theme '347 Festival' to symbolize Jeju horses, highlights the cultural significance and history of this natural monument. Typically a restricted cultural heritage site, the horse pastures are temporarily open to the public during the festival, allowing visitors to view over 100 Jeju horses galloping across the fields. The festival features various programs including virtual reality horse riding and trekking, designed for all age groups to educate about Jeju's pastoral heritage. The event runs until April 20th.
