The PyeongChang Daegwallyeong Music Festival, one of South Korea's premier classical music festivals, will kick off on July 23, showcasing major programs across Daegwallyeong. This year, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Mahler's Symphony No. 2 'Resurrection' during the opening concert. The festival will close with performances of Brahms' Violin Concerto and Dvorak's Symphony No. 9. International artists like violinists Akiko Suwanai and Guillaume Sutre, along with cellist Bruno Cocset, will be featured. The artistic director, cellist Yang Sung-won, along with violinist Olivier Charlier and pianist Emmanuel Strosser, will also perform as part of Trio Owon. Domestic artists include violinists Park Ji-yoon and Lee Ji-yun, soprano Seo Sun-young, and pianist Park Jae-hong. The festival, themed 'Interharmonie - Sharing Harmony: Musical Inspiration Beyond Borders,' will continue until August 2.
