Dosojju is a traditional Korean alcoholic beverage made from medicinal herbs, historically consumed by families on Lunar New Year to ward off evil spirits. The name Dosojju itself means 'a drink that captures evil energy.' It's traditionally made at home by placing ingredients such as baekchul and doraji in a well, later adding them to clear liquor. Even though the practice has largely faded, there are still many traditional breweries across Korea.
