The South Korean government has prepared an additional budget of 1.5 trillion won to alleviate the burden of rising market basket prices. This includes discounts on agricultural and fisheries products such as cabbages and mackerel, and a 20% refund in 'Onnuri Gift Certificates' for increases in monthly card spending through a program called 'Sangsaeng Payback.' The plan was discussed at a meeting chaired by Kim Bum-seok, the Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance. The budget aims to ease the financial impact on citizens by supporting discounts and refunds in collaboration with various ministries.
