Gangwon Province in South Korea is experiencing a boom in cable car installations. Following the construction commencement of the Seoraksan Osaek Cable Car after 41 years, efforts are underway to create South Korea's longest cable car linking Pyeongchang and Gangneung, as well as a route offering views of the famous Ulsanbawi Rock. These developments are expected to boost tourism by connecting scenic spots and popular drama filming locations such as those from 'Goblin' and 'The Glory.' However, the projects face challenges, primarily concerning environmental permits which have sparked opposition from environmental groups.
