Daiso, a major discount store chain in South Korea, is expanding its fashion category by partnering with well-known sportswear brands Lecaf and Skechers. These brands are being introduced at uniform prices - typically from 1,000 to 5,000 KRW (approximately $0.80 to $4 USD). For example, Lecaf's mesh short-sleeve t-shirts are priced at 3,000 KRW (about $2.30 USD). This marks the first time these brands have partnered with Daiso. The company reported impressive sales and profit increases last year, attributed to the rising demand for value-for-money products amidst high inflation. Daiso's expansion into fashion follows previous success with beauty products and health supplements, and it is expected to continue thriving as a budget-friendly player in the market.
