Open Travel Week: Discounts on Tourist Spots, Hotels, and Exhibitions

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea and the Korea Tourism Organization are launching 'Open Travel Week' from April 14 to 20, in celebration of Disability Day on April 20. This campaign aims to promote inclusive travel opportunities for underprivileged groups, offering special discounts at major tourist spots and hotels nationwide. Attractions like Kansong Art Museum and Gyeongju Expo Grand Park offer entry fees discounts of up to 50%.
Other initiatives include free wheelchair rentals and customized experiences, enhancing accessible travel environments. Over 100 hotels equipped with accessible rooms are featured online, providing discount coupons. The opening ceremony in Seoul will showcase a live performance and exhibition by developmentally disabled artist Si-Young Yang, focusing on inclusive tourism.
Additionally, a 'Sharing Travel' program offers tailored trips for the disabled and elderly, exploring Barrier-Free Travel and Art-Themed Tours. This initiative underscores Korea's commitment to building an inclusive tourism culture.
