The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) in Seoul presents Ron Mueck's first solo exhibition in Asia, featuring 'Mass,' a striking installation composed of 100 colossal skulls, each 1.2 meters high. Mueck, renowned for hyper-realistic human sculptures, drew inspiration from his visit to the Paris Catacombs. This exhibition showcases ten significant works, including 'Mask II,' a self-portrait four times life-size, and 'In Bed,' a depiction of a woman under a blanket at 6.5 meters wide. Carefully crafted over nearly three decades, Mueck's works often appear larger or smaller than life, blending realism and fantasy. On view until July 13, admission is 5,000 Korean won (approximately $4 USD).
