Daegu Art Museum offers free admission on several days during the Lunar New Year holiday, except on the actual day of the holiday. Visitors can enjoy four exhibitions including 'Wael Shawky', the first solo exhibition in a Korean public art museum by the Egyptian artist. Other exhibitions feature works by artist Kwon Oh-bong and a historical overview of modern paintings in Daegu. Additionally, the museum showcases 'Visible Storage', a unique exhibition space allowing the public to view stored collections through transparent windows. The museum will be closed on the Lunar New Year day and the day after, while free admission is available on the 27th, 28th, and 30th of January. An Instagram event is also hosted for visitors sharing their experiences with designated hashtags, with a chance to win souvenirs.
