Rising Delivery Prices for Korean Fast Food Chains

South Korean franchise chains, including popular dishes like chicken and burgers, are increasingly adopting a 'dual pricing system' where the price for delivery is higher than in-store. This trend is driven by the high fees of delivery apps like Baemin, Coupang Eats, and Yogiyo. For instance, Jagal Chicken has increased delivery prices by 2000 won per dish. While burger franchises have mostly implemented this, chicken franchises are wary due to the high percentage of sales from delivery. Despite sharing the burden with consumers, the move is criticized for inflating prices further.
