Jangbong Island, located off the coast of Incheon, South Korea, is known for its late-blooming cherry blossoms due to its mild temperatures and sea breezes. Visitors can enjoy these blossoms even in mid-April, long after those on the mainland have fallen. Jangbong Island is accessible via a ferry from Sammok Wharf, and offers not only beautiful cherry blossom paths but also scenic coastal hiking trails known as Gaetti-gil. The island is also famous for its seafood, particularly its premium clams called Baekhap, often served as noodle soup. This makes Jangbong Island an excellent day-trip destination from the Seoul metropolitan area.
