Renowned for his innovations in Korean creative ballet, Moon Byeong-nam, the Artistic Director of M Ballet Company, passed away at the age of 63. Known for his choreographic work 'Prince Hodong' which he brought to Italy in 2011, Moon was a pioneering figure who brought full-length creative ballets to the global stage. He was a principal dancer and choreographer at the Korea National Ballet for a decade before founding M Ballet Company in 2015, where he produced works like 'Ahn Jung-geun, Dance in Heaven'. He received numerous awards including the Minister of Culture Award and the Grand Prize from the Korea Ballet Association. His funeral will be held with honors from the Korean ballet community and the Korea National Ballet. The funeral takes place at Seoul's Chung-ang University Hospital, with the service on the 11th of October at 4 PM.
