With the rising popularity of protein-focused diets, Hanwoo beef is gaining attention. A recent report by Professor Juseon Tae from Gyeongsang National University's Agriculture and Life Sciences department detailed the protein content in various cuts of Hanwoo beef. The report found that shank (satae) has the highest protein content among 1st-grade Hanwoo beef cuts, containing 22g of protein per 100g. This is followed by round (udun), chuck (moksim), and tenderloin (ansim) with around 21g. Each cut of Hanwoo offers unique nutritional benefits. For those needing protein supplementation, consuming shank or round is recommended. Hanwoo is versatile and convenient to cook, making dishes like bulgogi hot pot or shank stew easy options for nutritious meals. Understanding the characteristics of each cut can enhance a balanced dietary culture.
