M Ballet Director Byung-nam Moon Passes Away at 64

Byung-nam Moon, the artistic director of M Ballet, passed away on November 9 at the age of 64. He was a prominent figure in the Korean ballet community, having joined the National Ballet of Korea in 1984 and serving in various significant roles including choreographer and vice artistic director. Moon was renowned for creating 'Prince Hodong' in 2009, the first full-length Korean ballet (a type of ballet that tells a story without dialogue) as part of the national brand project. In 2015, he established M Ballet Company, producing significant Korean creative ballets and unique productions of classic ballet works such as 'Prince Hodong,' 'Ahn Jung-geun: Dance in Heaven,' and 'Don Quixote.'
