Exploring New Worlds: "Laika" Musical Premieres in Korea

The original musical "Laika" premieres at the Doosan Art Center in Seoul, telling a fictional tale inspired by Laika, the first dog sent into space by the Soviet Union in 1957. The story imagines Laika surviving and journeying to the planet B612 from "The Little Prince," encountering an adult version of the prince who plans to destroy Earth. The musical explores themes of human and non-human coexistence and human ideals. Combining elements of steampunk and a variety of musical numbers, "Laika" runs until May 18. This work is the latest from the Han Lee Park trio, known for their creative collaborations.
