Alcheon, the only mass producer of wontang meal kits in Korea, has launched 'Busan Wontang,' a premium wontang meal kit that captures the authentic taste of wontang typically enjoyed in specialty stores. This ready-to-eat meal can be prepared in just 3 minutes by boiling water and features thin, soft dumpling skins with savory beef filling, complemented by a clear and rich broth. Unlike previous products, it uses pork filling for a broth suited to Korean tastes and can be stored frozen for long-term freshness. Alcheon plans to expand its market presence through various distribution channels, including online malls and home shopping, while also increasing B2B collaborations. CEO Kim Sang-euk aims to make this local delicacy more accessible for home enjoyment and plans to introduce competitive products in the global K-food market.
