Seoul Milk Cooperative has announced that its 'Seoul Milk Organic Milk' product received the 'Low Carbon Livestock Product Certification,' awarded by Korea's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. This certification is granted to farms that apply carbon reduction technologies, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by more than 10%. It serves as a benchmark for environmentally-friendly livestock products for consumers. A total of ten farms supplying raw milk achieved this certification. The organic milk, made from cows raised on organic pastures and feed in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province, offers six different products, including organic milk and flavored sterilized milks. The cooperative plans to continue focusing on eco-friendly production and ESG management. ESG stands for environmental, social, and governance principles that guide sustainable business practices.
