National Theater Company Returns to National Theater after 15 Years

The National Theater Company of Korea returns to the National Theater after 15 years following requests from the theater community. This move is marked by a special event titled 'Continuing the Future of Theater at Namsan' on November 8. The National Theater and Company plan to co-produce two shows annually and have signed an agreement for prioritized venue booking. In 2024, the plays 'His Mother' and 'Hyeonanseolheon' will be performed at the theater. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to secure rehearsal spaces nearby, enhancing a comprehensive performance system around Namsan (a mountain in central Seoul). Minister Yu In-chon highlighted this return as a significant step for the company, symbolizing its history and a future leap for Korean theater.
