The Yanggu County Park Soo-geun Art Museum is commemorating the 60th anniversary of the acclaimed Korean artist Park Soo-geun's passing with a special exhibition titled "Spring Comes: From Jeongnim-ri to Jeon-nong-dong" starting from the 8th. Park Soo-geun is celebrated for his art that honestly depicted the lives of ordinary people during turbulent times in Korea, such as the Japanese occupation and war. This exhibition traces his life from his birthplace in Yanggu to his life in various parts of Korea, culminating in his time in Seoul. A significant aspect of the exhibition is the first-time unveiling of materials like woodblock print postcards, which were donated by the Overseas Cultural Heritage Foundation. These postcards include a unique piece, "Two People Kite Flying," that Park sent to his American sponsor Sandra Matieli in 1962, illustrating his trust and affection toward humanity. The exhibition will continue until March 2 next year.
