Why Travelers Prefer Showing Off Abroad Rather Than in Korea

A recent survey by Consumer Insight reveals that many Korean travelers choose to spend more abroad due to the perception of better cost-efficiency, despite actually spending more compared to local travels. Satisfaction with food and transportation is high domestically, but high prices and limited shopping options are significant drawbacks. Conversely, while overseas travel boasts rich content and affordable shopping, language barriers and hygiene issues remain concerns. To boost domestic tourism, enhancing local food offerings is suggested as it is the most satisfying aspect of Korean travel.
