Seoul has released the “2026 Seoul Gourmet 100,” a list of 100 must-visit eateries chosen by 60 local food experts including journalists, chefs, and culinary travelers. The list covers seven categories—Korean cuisine (27), Western (23), Asian (15), grill (10), vegetarian (8), cafes & desserts (9), and bars & pubs (8)—and introduces 25 new spots such as several traditional Korean restaurants and notable new cafes and grills. For the first time the city also published a “Seoul Cafe & Dessert 50” (카페·디저트 50선). To let residents and visitors sample these flavors, Seoul will host “2026 Seoul Gourmet Week” from the 23rd to the 29th at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and other venues, featuring restaurant weeks, gourmet markets, guided food tours, and workshops. Details and sign-ups are on the Seoul Gourmet Week website and official Instagram.
