Korean pianist Hee-Yeon Choi, known for her specialization in Beethoven's compositions, has released a complete recording of Beethoven's piano sonatas, a project that took ten years to complete. She explains that Beethoven's work often starts with a problem and its resolution is more dramatic than any movie. Choi will perform a solo concert at the Seoul Arts Center on November 10, featuring Beethoven's Sonata No. 21 and his late sonatas. Choi's recordings were made at the renowned Teldex Studio using a Bösendorfer piano, known for its expressive sound. She shares how Beethoven's dedication to his benefactor, Count Waldstein, moved her, and she often recalls those who have supported her while playing the piece.
