The Korea Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's aviation accident committee reported that a Jeju Air flight experienced a bird strike during an attempt to land in Muan International Airport. Investigation reveals that the feathers and blood found in both engines are from migrating Baikal Teal birds. The incident was captured on airport CCTV, confirming the bird collision. A preliminary report will be sent to international aviation authorities. The runway at Muan Airport remains closed until April 18 for repairs, and further studies on localizer concrete heaps and bird influence are planned.
