The 'Dara Trail' is the first section of the Sea Hundred Ri Trail in Tongyeong, South Korea, that spans from Mireuksan (Maitreya Mountain) to Dara Park. This hiking trail offers spectacular views of the surrounding islands like Hansando and Chudo, through lush pine forests and ancient paths. Mireuksan, recognized as one of South Korea’s 100 famous mountains, is known for its panoramic viewpoints such as the Sinseondae and Danggye Viewpoints. The trail also features historic and cultural sites, including the beautiful temple forest of thick cypress trees at Mireuk Temple (Mireuksa), and the picturesque sunset views from the Dara Observatory. Spanning approximately 10 kilometers, the hike takes about 5 hours to complete and captures Korea’s natural beauty and historical essence.
