The research found that international tourists visiting regional areas spend more and stay longer than average. Recommendations include fostering tourism destination cities, specialized tourism projects, and data analysis systems to bolster inbound tourism. It also highlights the upcoming APEC meeting in Gyeongju as a platform to promote South Korea’s regional tourism on a global stage.
