Gangneung Symphony Orchestra to Perform Preview Concert for Seoul Arts Center Festival

The 2025 Seoul Arts Center Orchestra Festival kicked off on the 1st, with Gangneung Symphony Orchestra being the only provincial public orchestra participating this year. On the 3rd, the orchestra will hold a preview concert at the Gangneung Arts Center for local audiences. The program will replicate the main festival performance planned for the 5th, featuring pianist Yun Hong-Chun performing Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1, celebrating its 150th anniversary. The orchestra will also play Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 2. Yun, known for his sensitive touch, recently released an album of Schubert's solo piano sonatas. Gangneung Symphony held its 144th regular concert last month featuring Mahler's Symphony No. 4.
