Five New Korean Plays Including 'Endangered Species' and 'Haenyeo Yeonshim' Streamed on National Theatre Online

The National Theatre of Korea will stream five contemporary Korean plays on its online stage from the 7th. The lineup includes three works from the annual 'Creative Arts Workshop' series—Endangered Species, The House I Lived In, and Haenyeo Yeonshim (haenyeo: traditional female divers)—and two plays from the emerging playwright support program 'Spring Writers, Winter Stage'—Sunaege (2024) and 663GP Waste Disposal Status Report (Draft) (2025). The Korea Arts Council has been presenting recorded productions from the Creative Arts Workshop on the National Theatre’s online venue since 2023 and has expanded this year to include works from the newcomer support program to continue distribution opportunities. Tickets are discounted at 3,900 KRW per title from the 7th–9th, rising to 4,900 KRW thereafter.
