French Cheese Pop-up 'Cheese Wonderland' Opens at COEX Mall Sept. 9

A French cheese pop-up called 'Cheese Wonderland' runs Sept. 9–13 at Starfield COEX Mall (B1) in Seoul. Funded by the EU and organized by CNIEL (French National Dairy Council), the event promotes the campaign 'Authentic Cheeses – Crafted in Europe, Perfected in France.' The seventh edition features an amusement-park concept where visitors (no reservation required) can taste six categories of authentic French cheeses, play games in the 'Cheese Playground,' build a custom cheese plate using stamp stations, and take photos at a 'Wonderland Carousel' photo zone with a French dairy cow. Daily limited gifts are available via SNS verification, and there are pre-booked cheese classes led by chefs and cheese experts. On opening day, a media-guided tour is followed by a special lecture on reinterpreting French cheese flavors as ice cream by Park Jeong-su, owner of the ice cream shop '녹기전에' (Noggi-jeone). From Sept. 14–20 a 'Cheese Wonderland Store' will run with three cheese importers. Also, from Sept. 2–13 the Noggi-jeone Yeomni branch offers a limited-time French cheese ice cream.
