Namyang Dairy reported an 11.5% year-on-year rise in coffee-mix sales in the first half of the year, driven by product lineup expansion including zero-sugar lattes and budget-friendly cup coffees. The company launched four instant varieties under 'Lucas Nine Signature Latte Zero Sugar' and two 200mL cup coffees, 'French Cafe Devil’s Temptation' (cafe latte and vanilla latte), priced lower than its 250mL offerings to reduce consumer cost. Early demand led to additional production runs. Retail data showed value 250mL cup coffees in the low-1,000 won range sell 72% more per month than higher-priced options. The zero-sugar lineup contains 0g sugar, while the original variants are low-sugar (1.5–2.0g). Lucas Nine now spans 14 SKUs from Americano to zero-sugar lattes. Namyang is also expanding overseas distribution—exporting coffee mixes and cup coffees to markets including the US, China and Indonesia, and producing instant lattes for the US via ODM. The company will continue broadening choices from instant to RTD (ready-to-drink) cups and leverage domestic product strengths abroad. Separately, Namyang is recruiting participants for its fourth-quarter "Children’s Milk Exploration" factory tour (a program for children) at the Cheonan plant.
