LiveX reports a sharp rise in foreign customers seeking K-beauty hair treatments in Seoul’s premium salons. High-profile visitors like Mary Zhang, a banking executive, recently visited Winit Black Cheongdam to experience styles by renowned hair artist Seel, who has worked with celebrities such as Kim Hye-soo and Youn Yuh-jung. Foreign clientele grew about fivefold year-on-year, with nationalities expanding beyond China and Japan to Taiwan and Southeast Asia. Driven by interest from K-pop, K-dramas and social media, travelers increasingly add salon visits to their Korea itineraries, making hair salons a new pillar of K-beauty tourism. LiveX, which operates brands including Winit, Winit Black, and Salon A with around 100 domestic and overseas stores, is expanding from Busan into the Seoul metropolitan area and preparing entries into Shanghai and Hong Kong. The company plans further customer outreach in the Seoul metro and abroad to meet growing demand.
