Amway Korea Launches Two Gut-Health Products Based on Korean Microbiome Data

Amway Korea has released two new gut-health supplements under its Nutrilite line: Nutrilite Begin and Nutrilite Probiotics. Marketed as a “complete gut solution,” Nutrilite Begin is a plant-based prebiotic formula designed to support a healthy intestinal environment. Nutrilite Probiotics contains five probiotic strains including two proprietary strains selected from over 110,000 Korean microbiome data samples. Amway’s global R&D bio-research informed the formulations; combined use of the two products showed increased butyrate production compared with single use, and two related studies were published in international journals. Clinical trials reported increases in acetate and lactate (compounds linked to butyrate production) for Begin, and after eight weeks the Probiotics group showed higher rates of normal stool form and greater butyrate generation than placebo. CEO Shin Eun-ja said the products aim to expand everyday gut-health care options.
