Lotte Mart's September 'Tongkeun Day' Offers Autumn Food Discounts and Kimchi Prep Deals

Lotte Mart will hold a four-day 'Tongkeun Day' promotion from September 3–6, offering discounts on seasonal autumn fruits and vegetables, fresh seafood and meat, ready-to-eat meals, and household goods. Featured produce includes Hongro apples, Campbell grapes, Zespri gold kiwifruit, and Shine Muscat grapes (grade-sorted by sweetness). Jeju tangerines will be on sale for two days. Anticipating kimjang (traditional Korean kimchi-making) season, Lotte Mart is taking pre-orders for salted napa cabbage (10kg) sourced from Pyeongchang and kimchi seasoning, and has secured about 300 tons of salted cabbage through prior agreements with farms. Seafood deals include brown crabs and live abalone; meat promotions cover LA galbi (Korean-style short ribs) and premium Hanwoo beef for loyalty members. Packaged foods and condiments like gochujang and doenjang are included in buy-one-get-one offers, as are many convenience foods and household items. App users can receive future discount coupon packs for purchases over KRW 50,000 and participate in a daily roulette for up to KRW 10,000 off. Lotte Mart says it is expanding pre-order kimchi product lines and coordinating with producers to secure supply and competitive pricing for fresh seasonal items.
