In South Korea, fashion brands driven by influencer fandom are becoming increasingly successful. One such brand, Trimminbird, founded by influencer director Kim Min-kyung, has gone from selling off-the-rack clothing to achieving an annual sales of 15 billion won (approximately $11 million) within three years. These brands leverage their social media following, actively engaging with their fans to boost sales, often through live broadcasts on popular platforms like Musinsa and 29CM. This shift from traditional corporate-led brands to personal influencer-driven designer brands reflects the growing trend in the fashion industry where brand loyalty and fandom play a key role in success. Other notable brands include "Dainit" and "Ordre," which have also seen significant sales growth through strategic live content and fan engagement, emphasizing the importance of consumer-brand communication in shaping identity and boosting sales.
