Lotte Mart has remodeled three Indonesian outlets within two months, most recently reopening its Jakarta Klapa Gading store on Aug. 26 after a 15-year full renovation. The store combines wholesale and retail under one roof: a newly named "Wholesale Food Market" offering bulk items and ready-to-eat K-food content for B2B and large-quantity shoppers, and a grocery-focused retail floor with 90% food area and expanded fresh produce. A central 843 m² "K Meal Solution" zone features cafes, bakeries and over 100 Korean dishes (e.g., kimbap, tteokbokki, dakgangjeong). Wholesale sections add HORECA (hotel-restaurant-cafe) support and a 50m "sachet" zone for small-pack essentials. Lotte reports renovated stores raised overall sales 18% and foot traffic 64% in 2 years 7 months; wholesale conversions saw 23% sales growth and triple customer counts. The company plans tailored renewals by neighborhood, aiming to strengthen Indonesian retail competitiveness with differentiated K-food offerings.
