"A World Conveyed by Fingertips" — Exhibition by Seven Youth Artists with Developmental Disabilities in Naju

A group exhibition titled "A Piece of Heart, A Picture — Drawing with Fingertips Instead of Words" runs in Naju, South Jeolla Province, from the 27th through next month 15. Organized by i+u Mind Research Institute and hosted at the Nam-pyeong 507 gallery (남평507), the show features seven adolescent artists with developmental disabilities — Mun Geon, Mun Jun-hwi, Park Hyo-rin, Lee Ye-jun, Lee Hwan, Im Tae-young, and Jung Soo-min. Using vivid color, bold strokes and keen observation, the young artists express their perspectives developed through art psychotherapy. Curators Song Young-joo and artist Jung Myung-sook organized the exhibition to foster the youths’ self-esteem and life strength. On weekends during the exhibition, "Artists’ Days" allow visitors to interact directly with the artists. Organizers hope the public will visit to offer warm support and encouragement.
