During last year's Chuseok holiday (a major Korean harvest festival), Americano coffee was the top-selling item at highway rest stops in South Korea, generating the highest revenue. Other popular items included walnut cookies, udon noodles, ready-made coffee, and pork cutlets. The Korea Expressway Corporation hosted the 'Rest Stop Food FESTA' to improve food quality, showcasing the finest rest stop eateries. The grand prize went to the Hanmi Restaurant’s Cheese Shinaeso at the Chilgok Busan rest stop. Additionally, awards were given to dishes like Bosung Cockle Bibimbap and Leejeongdong Mukbap at various stops, highlighting diverse culinary offerings along the roads.
