Sake Meets Korean Cuisine: Pairing Event in Gyeongju

A sake-pairing event will be held in Gyeongju on September 18 from 6–8 PM at Place C’s second-floor hall. Led by sake sommelier Lee Chang-hyun, the evening introduces Japanese sake culture to Korea and explores new pairings between traditional sake and Korean dishes. Participants will taste a variety of sakes, learn each sake’s characteristics, and sample recommended 한식 (Korean dishes) matched to the drinks. The program includes sake introductions, food pairing explanations, tastings, and networking. Tickets cost 100,000 KRW, are available by advance reservation, and can be booked on a first-come, first-served basis; attendees may come with family or friends.
