European Jazz Captures Parisian Life — Son Moeun Band 'MOEUN' Tours Korea in September

Daegu-born jazz violinist Son Moeun, now based in Paris, will perform in Daegu on Sept. 12 at Various Jazz Club as part of a domestic tour celebrating her second full-length album, Murmures d'après ("Whispers After"). The tour runs Sept. 11 in Jeonju, Sept. 12 in Daegu, and Sept. 13 in Seoul. Son, the first Korean to win a performer prize at the prestigious La Défense jazz competition, blends jazz improvisation and classical precision with Parisian scenes — including Place des Abbesses (a square near Montmartre) — into her music. For this show, her core French band members pianist Dexter Goldberg and guitarist Romain Hubert will join Korean bassist Kim Hyung-kyu and drummer Kim Jong-hyun to present new tracks such as "Nuit d'été en Corée (Korean Summer Night)", "Oiseau migrateur (Migratory Bird)", "Papillon (Butterfly)", and the title piece "Murmures d'après". Tickets cost 55,000 KRW (students 50,000 KRW).
