Two Seoul-area exhibitions showcase South Korea’s emerging artists. At Gyeonggi Museum of Art in Ansan, “To Our Summer” features 26 young artists across painting, sculpture, media, installation, craft, and design to mark the museum’s 20th anniversary; works are presented as individual artistic worlds rather than grouped by theme or medium (runs through Sept. 27). At ARKO Art Center in Jongno, “Art School” presents eight self-organized collectives, studios, and alternative spaces—42 artists in total—including groups like PIE (a wiki-engine art forum) and Kuroda (a comic-focused collective); participating teams will give presentations and audience talks during Seoul Art Week on Sept. 3 (runs through Sept. 27).
