The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has chosen 25 winning souvenirs in the 2026 Korea Tourism Contest from a record 1,358 entries. The Presidential Prize went to a bangjja yugi (traditional Korean hammered-bronze) tableware set inspired by the fan of Anseong’s famed folk performer Baudeogi. Other winners include a modernized dancheong (traditional painted roof patterns) fan, seasoning made from Jeju biyangdo flower anchovy, a metal doorbell reinterpretation of roof guardian figures, roasted perilla oil from Gangwon, and doorstoppers modeled on Jeju’s traditional guardian child statues (dongjaseok). KTO will support winners with one-on-one consulting, business training, distribution channel links, loan eligibility, and expanded overseas platform placement—especially on Amazon—along with collaborations with companies like Hyundai Department Store and Lotte Duty Free. An exhibition and fair featuring the winners will be held Nov 20–22 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), with sales, business consultations, and public events. KTO expects these regionally inspired K-goods to reach more domestic and international consumers through strengthened distribution support.
