In Korea, airlines adjust their schedules biannually to accommodate seasonal changes and daylight savings. From March through October, the summer schedule will see international flights increase, reflecting new travel trends. Longer routes to Eastern Europe and Central Asia are becoming popular due to affordable travel costs and diverse attractions. Routes to Prague and Almaty are expanding, while flights to Zurich and Calgary are resuming.
For short-distance travel, Japan and China are growing destinations. More flights to small Japanese cities like Kobe and Ishigaki are being introduced, mirroring the trend of travelers exploring beyond major cities. China, benefiting from a visa-free policy, is also seeing increased demand, with new flights to Chongqing and Chengdu.
Despite financial concerns due to changing exchange rates, demand for nearby destinations is expected to remain strong.
