Seoul’s 63 Building in Yeouido—opened in 1985 and long known for its river views and special-occasion dining—has undergone a major food-and-beverage renewal tied to the opening of the Pompidou Center (퐁피두센터). The refurbishment includes rebranding high-floor restaurants as “63 Skyline Dining,” bringing in renowned eateries on lower floors, and launching a premium buffet and Pierre Hermé Paris’s first Korean café-style flagship. The 58th-floor fine-dining restaurant Touch the Sky now sources seasonal Korean produce and highlights provenance during service; other venues expanded live cooking stations and introduced new signature offerings. The changes have attracted younger customers in addition to older, affluent guests, turning the once nostalgic landmark into a current “hot place” (핫플) that pairs its classic skyline views with contemporary gourmet experiences.
