29CM’s kid-focused concept shop ‘IGU Kids Seongsu’ in Seongsu (a trendy Seoul neighborhood) has become a popular destination for foreign tourists seeking K-kids fashion. Since opening last August, the shop—curated for 25–39-year-old parents—hosts emerging domestic and international kidswear and accessory brands, many without their own offline stores. In the month of Aug 1–24, foreign customers accounted for over 65% of sales, a 4.8-fold increase from last year. The store’s pop-up curation strategy helped new labels like Mongdada achieve strong early sales (about 150 million KRW in two weeks). To mark its first anniversary, 29CM is running promotions including limited “lucky boxes” and discounts with scratch coupons. The company says it will continue differentiated curation across its first and second locations to serve families and international visitors alike.
