K-Heritage Art Exhibition at Changdeokgung’s Nakseonjae, Sept. 1–6

The Cultural Heritage Administration will host the 4th K-Heritage Art Exhibition at Nakseonjae in Changdeokgung from September 1–6. Under the theme “Lines of Connection,” the show pairs traditional artisans (including holders of intangible cultural heritage) with contemporary artists to highlight the living value of inherited crafts. Some 48 makers present about 160 works ranging from gold leaf, fine wood joinery (somŏk), and Tongyeong daebal (a large traditional fishing/transport boat craft)–based pieces to paintings, installations and photography. Admission is free for visitors to Changdeokgung during the exhibition period.
