KOTRA (Korea Trade‑Investment Promotion Agency) is launching a one‑stop logistics support program in the U.S. to help Korean food companies enter American markets. Centered at its LA trade office and partnering with JFC International (a large Asian food distributor affiliated with the Kikkoman group), the initiative covers import customs, cold‑chain storage and inland transport, warehousing, and B2B marketing to supply major retail and foodservice channels. KOTRA showcased six Korean food firms at the “Taste of Korea 2026” event near Los Angeles, where frozen kimbap (gimbap), desserts, and protein powder were sampled by about 500 retail and restaurant buyers. JFC noted rising U.S. demand for Korean foods and said stronger logistics capabilities are key to expansion. KOTRA aims to remove export barriers—certification, customs, and logistics—by combining infrastructure with tailored marketing to open stable entry points into large U.S. Asian and mainstream retail networks.
