Outdoor 'Arko Theater Cinema' Film Screenings to Showcase Korean Performing Arts

The Korea Arts & Culture Education Service (Arts Council Korea) will hold an outdoor screening event called 'Arko Theater (場) Cinema' from Oct. 3–5 in the courtyard of Arko Arts Theater in Daehangno, Seoul. Each night at 7:30 p.m., audiences can watch free screenings on a large outdoor screen featuring popular original musicals, dance films, and other performing arts works. Selections include award-winning pieces supported by Arko: on Oct. 3 the musical 'Ojige Jae-mitneun Gashinadeul' (title in Korean), Oct. 4 the Ambiguous Dance Company’s dance film 'Fever' (selected for Seoul Art Market PAMS Choice), and Oct. 5 the musical adaptation of a beloved children’s story 'Blue Lion Wanini' (a new work from the Performing Arts Creation Support project). The event is suitable for ages 7 and up and may be canceled in case of rain; details are on the Arko Theater website.
